Daniel Rathbone
Partner
Forensic Psychologist
BSc (Hons) MPsych MAPS
Daniel emphasises a client-centred, strength-based approach, and seeks to understand and work with each individual's unique lived experience. With a background in psychology and philosophy, Daniel integrates a variety of evidence-based therapeutic styles to empower clients to make the best decisions for their lives. He has training and experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a range of clinical and forensic contexts. Daniel has particular interest and expertise working with anxiety and depression, adjustment difficulties, grief and trauma, interpersonal relationships, identity and self-esteem, and forensic issues
Dr Minh Nguyen-Hoan

Minh focuses on working with individuals to address the challenges in their lives by helping them to understand themselves better and to identify their most effective problem-solving and coping strategies. He specialises in working with people who are facing emotional distress, problems with relationships, or dealing with mental health and addiction issues. Minh has training in working with clinical and forensic populations individually and in group settings. Minh also has extensive experience in intellectual assessment of gifted children to help parents better understand their child and support their development of effective learning behaviours.
Dr Kevin O'Sullivan

Kevin is a clinical and forensic psychologist based in Port Macquarie. A therapist and Consulting Partner in the Group Psychology Practice, Kevin is also a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the UNSW School of Psychology and an Honorary Associate of Macquarie University Clinic, and provides supervision for registrar psychologists. Kevin works to fit the therapy to the client and often uses a Narrative approach, working with both individuals and groups. His therapy focuses on the positive outcomes the client wishes to achieve rather than the older, unhelpful self-view and behaviour.
Rachael Haggett

Rachael is a forensic psychologist and has over 20 years experience working with men who have a history of using violence. She works both individually and in groups, in custodial settings and in the community. Her work is informed by Narrative Therapy concepts.She has also developed a Reflective Supervision program and is currently facilitating Reflective Practice Supervision groups for practitioners. These are now being offered at The Group Psychology Practice.
Soren Ashley

Soren's greatest strengths are his presence, warmth and empathy. He skilfully integrates Western psychology with aspects of Eastern philosophy. His regular meditation practice is reflected in his calm manner, which helps to create a safe therapeutic environment for clients to fully express and process their concerns. Soren has worked within individual and group settings to address a range of issues including addiction, court matters, trauma, depression, anxiety, sleep and stress.
Chana Levin

Chana has experience in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults in both forensic and clinical settings. Chana’s particular areas of interest include trauma related disorders, substance use disorders, parenting in the context of allegations of abuse or neglect, and offending behaviour across the life span. She is passionate about working with high-risk youth involved in the criminal justice system or struggling with homelessness, substance use, or complex trauma. Chana incorporates a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions in her practice and emphasises a collaborative and strength-based approach with her clients.
